Robert Delorie (one of the company founders) studied, fell in love with, and then lived in the Rhineland, specifically in Mainz.

Robert usually directs this trip himself, immersing you in the hometown of Johannes Gutenberg (recognized by Time Magazine as the most important individual of the last thousand years) and taking you on trips south to Heidelberg with its romantic and picturesque cityscape, including the Heidelberg Castle and the baroque style Old Town, and north to Cologne and the vibrant arts scene that makes it a major cultural capital of the Rhineland
