Often nicknamed Il Bel Paese (The Beautiful Country), Italy is home to the greatest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the world with high art and monuments to be found everywhere around the country.

It is also famous worldwide for its delicious cuisine, its trendy fashions, luxury sports cars and motorcycles, diverse regional cultures and dialects, as well as for its many beautiful coasts, alpine lakes and mountains (the Alps and Apennines).

We do not offer whistle-stop tours of countries or continents, we prefer to immerse ourselves in particular cities.  For Italy we decided to immerse ourselves in Rome, in Tuscany and in Venice.   While in Tuscany we stay in Florence and take days trips to Siena, Pisa and San Gimignano.
